DURANCE

The Durance flows through a wide valley ,and is from early spring till automme richly fed by glaciers .The Durance-valley is situated in the southern « Hautes Alpes « This beautifull area is well-known by kayaker’s, for its unlimitted possibilities and great variety in rivers addapted for kayaklessons.

Having theire sources in the Parc National Les Ecrins and the Queyras, rivers like Guil,Gyronde and Guisanne are adding their glacier-melting water to the Durance.This makes the Durance ,one of the most well-known « volume »rivers of the french Alpes,where other wildwateractivity’s like rafting and Hydro-speed,are very popular.

This region is an Eldorado for everything to do with outdoorsports ; Alpine-climbing, sport-climbing,Canyon,Mountainbike,Via Ferrata, Paragliding etc.If you want to have more information about those activities ,dont hesitate to ask us.
