Wildwater area's - Verdon
The Verdon in its upperpart flowes throughout a small river-bed ,with very sharp turns, steap walls and welcomming eddy’s.It gives you already a small idea of the Grand Canyon du Verdon more streamdown, in a kind of miniature version.

For us this is quite enough ,to practise our first eddyhopping descent, and to train our-selfs in choosing the ideal line in narrow passages. We will need all those skill’s for the fourth day ,when the Gorge de Daluis is on the program ;a superb red gorge,in where We have lunch ,halfway down ,just beside a beautiful waterfall.

The last day we will paddle from Castelane direction Gorges du Verdon ;paddling further troughout the Gorges is only accessible to wildwater-experts.But still it is possible to have a glims of this monument of nature, using the Sentier Martel, named after the explorer who made his first descent down in a bark.
